Proven Track Record
We have safely piloted over 20,000 loads; we know that hauling an oversize load is a very dangerous undertaking. Oversize loads present a hazard to roadway structures as well as to road traffic. They exceed one or all normal vehicle dimensions of weight, height, length, width and/or extend beyond the normal perimeter of the load vehicle. Because they exceed design clearances, there is a risk that such vehicles can hit bridges and other overhead structures. Over-height vehicle impacts are a frequent cause of damage to bridges, and truss bridges are particularly vulnerable, due to having critical support members over the roadway. There are also load per axle limits. A load that exceeds the per-axle limits, but not the overall weight limits, is considered overweight.
Our experienced drivers are the heart of Big Dog Pilot Cars; we train and certify all of our drivers and provide them with the latest technology. Each and every one of our drivers is multi-state certified. We require extensive training with a minimum of 2 years of piloting experience. Our professional drivers will enable you to move your load from coast to coast safely. We know that communication is the key for a smooth transport. Our drivers constantly monitor the road for any obstruction or complication that may require the load to alter its path and transmit clear instructions to the load and other necessary vehicles. Let Big Dog Services put your mind at ease while you're on the road.
